Unlike the official arcade and PlayStation versions, this bootleg SNES release uses hand-drawn 2D sprites in a style that mimics the Street Fighter Alpha series. Many sprites appear to be heavily altered Alpha graphics, giving the game a unique and strange charm.
The game remained obscure for years and was even unplayable in emulation due to its built-in copy protection. In 2011, programmer D4S cracked the ROM, finally allowing the game to be preserved. Since then, reproduction cartridges like this one have surfaced, often in Super Famicom-style shells with professional labels.
